Life coaching for people who are figuring it out

Something feels off and you can't quite name it. Let's name it together.

I'm Henry. I work with people who are smart, self-aware, and still somehow stuck. If you've been thinking in circles for a while, that's exactly where we start.

Hi, I'm Henry

Here's the honest version: I got into coaching because I spent a long time being very good at explaining why things weren't working, and not very good at actually changing them. I'd think my way around a problem seventeen times and end up back where I started, slightly more tired.

Eventually I figured out that thinking about your life and actually moving through it are two pretty different activities. Coaching is where I help people make that shift. Not by handing you a framework or a five-step plan, but by sitting with you in the weird, specific mess of your actual situation and helping you see it more clearly.

If you're the kind of person who has a lot going on upstairs and sometimes needs someone to just think out loud with, I think we'd work well together. The first session is free, so there's really nothing to lose by finding out.

How we can work together

I offer a few different ways to work with me depending on where you are and what you need. The best place to start is a free discovery session, where we figure out together whether this is a good fit.

Things you might be wondering

What actually happens in a coaching session?

Mostly we talk, but with more direction than a regular conversation. I ask questions that are sometimes a little uncomfortable, you think out loud, and somewhere in there something usually clicks. It's less formal than it might sound.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Therapy is brilliant and I'm not it. Therapy tends to look back at why you are the way you are. Coaching is more interested in where you want to go and what's getting in the way right now. If you think you need therapy, I'll say so honestly.

What if I don't really know what I want help with?

That's a completely normal place to start. A lot of people come in knowing something feels off but not being able to name it. Naming it is often the first thing we do together.

Do I have to commit to a long program right away?

No. The free discovery session is just a conversation. No pressure, no pitch at the end. If it feels right for both of us, we'll talk about what working together could look like.

Is this for people in crisis, or more for general life stuff?

Mostly the second one. I work best with people who are functional and thoughtful but feel like they're running in place. If you're in crisis, please reach out to a mental health professional first.
